There are many reasons for which we may be sweating excessively and these can include strenuous exercise, hormonal imbalances, differing bodily reactions, chemical changes and presence, etc. The sweating glands become overly functional and there are estimated 5 million sweat glands that are situated all across the body which tend to function in excess in order to balance that toxic process or maintain the thermal equilibrium of the body. The sweat is released with water, small amounts of sodium chloride, urea, essential minerals and some amount of lactate as well. That is why when we sweat profusely we need to make sure that the body is well supplemented with minerals. The body needs to cool down from excessive temperature that it is subject to outside but it also excretes the toxic processes from the body. So a tiny amount of solute will always be found in the sweat in order to counteract this problem.
Normal sweating is not a problem and in fact utilized to maintain the body’s chemical, thermal and hormonal process. However it is when the body sweats excessively that we need to be concerned. Currently over 1% of the world suffers from this medical condition but this can be treated with diligence and body’s normal balance can be restored. Sweating gets controlled by the central nervous system and the function of the brain, especially the hypothalamus, is responsible for this trigger. Hypothalamus and receptors on the skin creates a healthy circulation of the body’s mechanism. This in turn makes way for the sweating mechanism to occur in our body. People have no control over how they sweat as this totally belongs to the sympathetic nervous system. Sweating in excess is also additional conditions to various diseases and can thus be put in check as the related ailments are treated.
